The airport opened for business in early 2001, replacing the older Gimpo International Airport, which now serves only domestic destinations. Incheon is the main center for Korean Air, Polar Air Cargo and Asiana Airlines. It is linked to the mainland through Incheon International Airport Expressway (Expressway 130), which is a part of Yeongjong Bridge.
